About us

Charnwood Waterski & Wakeboard Club is a relaxed and family friendly club welcoming both members and guests.

Based at a beautiful lake on the outskirts of Leicester in the heart of the East Midlands, the club is run by a committed group of enthusiasts dedicated to promoting all disciplines of boat towed water sports.

Our facilities include an 6 buoy slalom course, ski jump and slider. We are a registered SBDA (Ski Boat Driver Award) test centre, and have BWS (British Water Ski) instructors offering coaching for both adults and children from beginner to pro.

The Lake is stocked with mature carp, weighing up to 40 lbs, as well as tench and perch giving excellent fishing from around 20 pegs.

Please take the time to have a look around this site or better still come along for a great day out on the water.

  • New "Trained Driver" Requirements Set
The USA Water Ski board of directors recently passed a recommendation from the USA Water Ski Risk Management Committee that requires all individuals seeking a USA Water Ski Trained Driver rating to pass a practical evaluation, in addition to successfully completing a boaters education program. This new program is a part of USA Water Ski's ongoing efforts to promote safe boating and skiing activities. This new program applies only to aspiring "Trained Driver" program participants, and does not change USA Water Ski sport division driving programs.
